Your Instructors

OSBORN
13-year-old “quarter pony” (1/3 pony, 3/4 quarter horse). Osborn is a great teacher of the power of confident presence. He serves as the foreman of the heard. He’s also extremely good-looking.

HOKA!
4-year-old Mustang rescued from a failed sanctuary in South Dakota. Hoka needs an exclamation mark with his name because that’s how he lives life—with great enthusiasm. Connecting with people is Hoka’s favorite thing in the world. He is IN the game, whatever the game is…

MONARCH
This 14-year-old thoroughbred mare is a great example of combining strength with gentleness. She is a mare among geldings and she has no trouble setting clear boundaries with the boys while also exhibiting great tenderness and care with people.

KISMET
10-year-old thoroughbred gelding. Kismet is a sweet, reserved boy who is lovely to connect with. He is not rideable due to some physical issues and this work has provided him with a second career helping people become the next best version of themselves.

RT
24-year-old arabian. RT arrived to retire after years spent teaching children and beginner adults how to ride. He has found his new purpose in life after falling head over hooves for our two miniature donkeys and is rarely seen without his two sidekicks whom he has sworn to serve and protect for the rest of his days.

Blitz
29 year old Holsteiner, former show jumper and now retired from teaching children and beginner adults how to ride. Blitz is the definition of a “kind eye.” He is a master teacher of the power that being completely present has on our ability to connect.

Spencer
11 year old miniature Mediterranean donkey. Spencer’s favorite things in the world are Veeno, children, and scratches. And food.

VEENO
I will find you still
in a boisterous bray
a soft warm breath
in your brother’s liquid eye
in peals of laughter
and moments of wonder
Love remains.
Rest in peace, sweet boy. You are so greatly missed.

Atticus
10 year old thoroughbred. Atticus is sensitive like a powerful sports car. He is a horse for advanced participants.

Tru
2 year old arabian gelding equine coach in training. Tru is a delight – trusting, sensitive, and curious – we expect him to grow into a beautiful partner in this work.
